Abrasive belt PS 29 F ACT – the abrasive of choice for rough, intermediate and finish sanding on softwood

The abrasive belt PS 29 F ACT by Klingspor is guaranteed to produce perfect sanding results on all types of wood, especially on softwood. Available in a multitude of grit sizes, the abrasive is ideal for rough, intermediate and finish sanding on wooden surfaces. This premium abrasive belt has established itself, for instance,

  • at parquet manufacturers,
  • during the processing of glued and solid wood,
  • and in furniture makers.

It is an excellent choice for surface sanding on long belt and wide belt sanders and on edge sanders. The smaller versions of this abrasive belt can be fitted on orbital sanders and other hand-held machines. Klingspor offers the product on rolls as well as a wide, short and narrow belt.

All Klingspor products come with antistatic properties

The abrasive belt PS 29 F ACT is furnished with a backing that is made of stable F-weight paper. The paper is grouped into different weight categories. The categories span from light A-weight backings to heavy G-weight paper. The abrasive belt PS 29 F ACT is equipped with an antistatic finish - just like all other Klingspor abrasive belts designed for woodworking. This finish ensures that the electric charges that are inevitably generated during the sanding of non-conductive materials, such as wood or plastic, are discharged via the abrasive and the machine. The finish prevents electrically charged sanding dust from sticking to the abrasive belt, the machine or the workpiece.

Minimal clogging thanks to an open coating and Advanced Coating Technology

Klingspor offers the abrasive belt PS 29 F ACT with an aluminium oxide grain that possesses an irregular, crystalline structure. This type of grain proves to be both hard and tough. The aluminium oxide is applied with an open coating, creating countless spaces between the abrasive grains. These spaces allow for a quick removal of swarf, fibres and sanding dust that may clog the abrasive. Klingspor applies Advanced Coating Technology (ACT) for the manufacturing of this abrasive belt. This technology provides for an improved removal of swarf, especially on resin-rich softwood and other materials that have a tendency to reduce service life. This technology allows the abrasive belt PS 29 F ACT to deliver a high removal rate and a long service life at minimal clogging. These attributes turn this premium abrasive into a tool that lets the user work with ultimate speed and effectiveness.
